SUP Endurance Race – 3rd September
We’ve had loads of interest for this event but many of you aren’t ready for the of 20k round Mersea Island.
The event has now been changed to paddleboard day at Shingle Point – with round Cobmarsh Island race and some fun sprint distance races.
This event is FREE to get us all fit for RTI SUP next year!
BBQ will be available thanks to Mersea Island Rotary Club. Water clean with Starboard Paddleboards, Beach Clean with Surfers Against Sewage

Island Races is a sporting event company that is enthusiastic about introducing a series of triathlons, duathlons, SUP races, Open Water Swims and more to Mersea Island and the surrounding areas. We welcome complete beginners and hope to see more people challenging themselves and having fun at the same time.
Island Races has an action packed race calendar with new events and new venues for 2017.
After the successes of the sprint triathlon over the last 5 years and a great race season last year, we are now hosting 12 events this year. There should be something for everyone!
Mersea Island has hosted a Sprint Triathlon for 5 years running. It started due to Josh realising Mersea was not only an idyllic setting but perfectly formed to provide a unique arena to stage such an event.
Your adventure starts when you arrive at Mersea Island. You approach Mersea by a causeway from the mainland – yes, the island gets cut off at high tide! At just eight miles square….
