Simon Sullivan

Simon Sullivan

Logistics & Operations

Maltese entrepreneur Simon Ellul Sullivan is best known in automotive circles for his senior leadership role in the Malta Classic, a distinctive Mediterranean historic motorsport festival. As Secretary General of the main organising committee, Simon was centrally responsible for driver management, regulatory coordination and stakeholder alignment, ensuring that the event operated seamlessly within both sporting and governmental frameworks.

His remit covered liaison with authorities, compliance oversight, participant coordination and the orchestration of key event components including the hill climb, the Mdina Grand Prix and the Concours d’Elegance showcase. Bringing a competitor’s perspective to events, enabled a granular understanding of international entrants’ expectations.

Simon remains actively involved in shaping the event’s heritage dimension as one of the triumvirate leading the Concours d’Elegance, contributing to curatorial direction, participant selection and presentation standards, ensuring the concours reflects authenticity, provenance and period correctness.

The Sullivan family has a strong background in shipping and logistics, connected to Malta’s maritime sector and its historic links with Gibraltar and the wider Mediterranean. This imbued Simon with a practical understanding of complex logistics, international coordination and time-sensitive operations, operational discipline allied with a cross-border mindset. These skills translate directly into the planning and execution of high-level motoring and corporate events, where precision, reliability and the ability to respond quickly to challenges are critical.

Parallel to his motoring involvement, Simon’s professional career has centred on working with international firms across multiple jurisdictions. Organising corporate events across Europe, has delivered significant experience dealing with discerning clients, cross-border stakeholders and high-pressure operational environments. This practical advantage in stakeholder diplomacy and crisis management enables decisive effective management when the need arises.
